Dr. Mas Yunus Masaba

Dr. Mas Yunus Masaba, is a Portfolio Entrepreneur and philanthropist, Founder & Chairman, Mas Group Africa, a fast growing and multi award winning African business conglomerate with subsidiaries in Real Estate, Construction, Security, Renewable energy, Sports, Leisure and Hospitality.

Awarded Young Employer of the Year by the Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE) in 2014 and 2015. Mas has overseen the Growth of Mas Group Africa subsidiaries that have gone on to win multiple awards in their respective sectors and also become industry leaders.

Over the years, his love and passion for sports has seen him invest heavily in sports with one of Mas Group subsidiaries Volta Sports Investments which established Volta Arena Bukoto and Volta Arena Kyanja. He is also the cofounder of Mbale City FC a forth division football club in Eastern Uganda. His company TRACK24 Sponsors over 10 teams in different Alumni football leagues across the country.

Mas is passionate about entrepreneurship as a key driver to the growth of African economies and key to unlocking Africa’s potential through heavy involvement of youth in development programs and agendas for any country that wants to grow.

Notably, he also serves on the Advisory Board of Africa Nxt. Gen Economic Foundation a not for profit African-led organization transforming the next frontiers of the African continent in the global space. Board Member Go Girl Africa a not-for-profit organization that empowers girls to create and lead social change. A Committee member of the FUE awards committee. He also currently serves as the President of Jinja College Old Boys Association.

Hakiza Ronald brings over 13 years of experience in project management and a proven track record as a successful venture launcher in the African tech ecosystem.
He is passionate about leveraging technology to create innovative solutions to Africa’s pressing problems.

Highlights:
Founder of Ugabus.com: Hakiza established Ugabus.com, a pioneering online bus ticketing platform,revolutionizing the travel landscape in Uganda. He grew the platform to significant success before its strategic acquisition by
Treepz.com.

 

Hakiza possesses a wealth of experience in
conceptualizing, launching, and scaling tech ventures. He has actively contributed to the growth of companies like Treepz, Ugabus and others, playing a key role in implementing various technology projects.

 Hakiza lends his expertise and insights to the Golden Boots Organization, anonprofit NGO empowering young people to build resilience, secure their future through sport, and
become change agents in their communities.

Hakiza is a passionate advocate for tech-driven
development in Africa. He believes technology can positively impact lives and bridge developmental gaps, actively fostering collaborations and knowledge sharing within the tech community.

Hakiza is a firm believer in giving back to the community. He actively mentors young entrepreneurs and participates in initiatives that empower marginalized groups. He is driven by a deep desire to contribute to a more equitable and prosperous future for
Africa.

Edith Nayiga

Nayiga Edith is a consultant with GIZ under the sector program Sports/ Athletics for development, where she has devoted 90% of her practice to elevate the developmental aspect in all sporting disciplines for the last 7 years (2017-todate).

She has extensive experience in unusual and innovative sport/Athletics for development components and aspects. Her recent activities include an article and full session on Menstrual hygiene management (MHM) which can be got on the GIZ Tool kit of S4D. This session can and will be used worldwide in any sporting activity to sensitize children and youths on the myths and facts about MHM.

Additionally she has been one of the leading facilitators and trainers on the key aspects of Gender Equality, Mental Health and peace, Justice and Strong institutions in Sports. Focus areas have and are Kampala, Kampala suburbs Communities, Schools and refugee camps in Adjumani.

After working as a sports administrator and Programs Manager at Uganda Junior League (NGO) for 7 years, led her to career milestones such as; training of young people and youth in different sport disciplines and managing its programes, social mobilization for immunization for all children below the age of 5, education for all and End Gender Based Violence for girls and women in the 39 boarder line districts of Uganda, Refugee camps and Hard to reach and access districts in the years of 2013-2016 through the use sports (football and netball) as a tool for strategic development.

Among other duties I was assigned during my stay in UJL was, visa processing as UJL teams had to travel to attend international tournaments in countries like England, Spain, South Africa and the Kenya respectively.

Edith lives in Namungoona, Lubaga division, is interested in listening to music that glorifies and Honors God Almighty and loves travelling.
