Play 4 Life

We create access to sport and physical activities which promotes mental, physical and social well-being among young people, increasing the quality of their lives.

Ritah Auma, facilitating a session on mental health

Our Play 4 Life program is a combination of exercise and competitive sport including soccer, zumba, yoga, and amputee soccer that helps young people overcome mental health issues including depression and stress-related disorders. The youth also benefit from the social interaction and mutual support resulting from participating in the group challenging exercises; healthy lifestyle choices, improved mood, self-confidence and self-esteem.

Additionally, we invite mental health experts and former victims to raise awareness on mental well-being, facilitate training workshops for our peer counselors who then provide referrals to health service centres and also distribute information materials.

We also distribute sport kits and engage the most influential sport personalities and role models in all of our programs. They help to attract more youth to our programs.
